A family of six has two options Official
Book the Family Room at Ambassador, or split across two rooms. Japanese hotels enforce per-room capacity strictly — you cannot simply squeeze a sixth person in.
Bed-sharing: elementary school age and under
Across the Disney hotels, children of elementary school age and under may share a bed — one child per regular bed (two per double bed). Cots are for infants under 18 months, free of charge, and must be reserved in advance.

What the categories mean (if this is your first trip to Japan): a Disney hotel is run by the resort itself. An Official Hotel sits inside the resort, near a station on the Disney Resort Line monorail. A Partner Hotel is outside the resort but runs a free shuttle to the parks. Not affiliated means neither — check with the hotel about shuttles.

First Resort vs Emion — it comes down to two things
Both are officially confirmed to sleep six in one room. Both also sell plans that let you buy park tickets, so the real question is whether you need a fallback when the official site sells out, or whether you want the better room.

Floor area alone doesn't tell you much. Here is how six people actually sleep in each.
At First Resort everyone gets a bed in a single open room. At Emion a wall separates the bedroom from the living room, and the two rollaway beds go on the living-room side. The diagram shows the arrangement, not the actual floor plan (from each hotel's official information, August 2026).

Getting booking sites to show you rooms for six
Options disappear not because the rooms don't exist, but because of how you enter the search.
- Searching for "6 adults" often returns almost nothing. Enter children as children, with their exact ages, not as adults
- Japanese booking sites break children into fine-grained categories (with or without meals, with or without bedding, sharing a bed), so they can surface rooms for six that international sites miss
- Bed-sharing ("soine") is when a young child sleeps in a parent's bed with no extra bedding. Some hotels don't count a bed-sharing child toward the guest count, but the room's stated capacity can never be exceeded
- Compare the total for six people, not the per-room rate: (1) search one room for six, (2) search two rooms for the same dates and add them up, (3) add anything charged per person, such as breakfast
- If rooms for six are gone, look for connecting rooms joined by an internal door rather than two rooms side by side. Maihama View Hotel by HULIC has "Connecting Harmony Rooms" (32 m² × 2, 4–6 guests)

Is there any way for six people to stay at a Disney hotel?
Yes — the Family Room at Disney Ambassador Hotel (sleeps 6, 97 m²) takes all six in one room. The other five Disney hotels cap out at four or five, so you would either split across two rooms or choose a room for six at an Official or Partner Hotel.
Does a child sharing a bed count toward the guest total?
It depends on the hotel. At the Disney hotels, children of elementary school age and under may share a bed, one per bed. At Emion it is one preschool-age child per adult. In every case the room's stated capacity cannot be exceeded, so declare your children's ages when booking.
How do we get to the parks?
Disney hotels and Official Hotels use the Disney Resort Line monorail or a free shuttle; Partner Hotels generally run a free shuttle bus. Journey times vary by hotel.
We have a lot of luggage. Can it be sent from the airport to the hotel?
Japan has luggage delivery services that send bags from the airport to your hotel. It is far easier than moving six suitcases through train transfers (prices and delivery times vary by operator).
